Esther May (Guishard) Larson

Date of Birth:
Date of Death: April 9, 1941

Mrs. Esther May Guishard-Larson was born in Minneapolis on April 7, 1905, and spent her childhood in Minnesota. She was a Normal graduate of Union College, Lincoln, Nebraska. On June 12, 1929, she was united in marriage to Elmer Oliver Larson. Four children were born to this union. She was a member of the Gilchrist Seventh-day Adventist church, of which she was the clerk, president of the Dorcas Society, and assistant superintendent of the Sabbath School. Shortly after Christmas, 1940, she contracted pneumonia. This later developed into phlebitis and on April 9, at the early age of 36, she closed her eyes in sleep awaiting the reunion of her loved ones on the resurrection morning.

Esther, as she was known to her many friends, was beloved by all who knew her. She was ever a patient, sympathetic, loving wife and mother. She leaves besides her husband, Elmer O. Larson, four children: Donald LeRoy, 10; Alice Jean, 8; Arlene Marie, 6; Mary Lou, 4; her mother, Mrs. B. F. Ives, of Sauk Centre, Minnesota; one brother, a sister, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss. The funeral was conducted by the writer from the Rolling-Forks Lutheran Church, which was filled to capacity, and Sister Larson rests at the Adventist Church Cemetery to await the call of her Saviour. May God comfort those who mourn.
