Frederick William Parker, Jr., was born October 29, 1897, in Redwood County, Minnesota; and was violently taken from us on January 3, 1970, as a result of an automobile accident in front of the Northome, Minnesota, Seventh-day Adventist Church. Frederick, Jr., was one of four children of Frederick and Annabelle Parker. Two sisters, May Roiger and Sarah Haak preceded him in death. Frederick spent most of his life in Sundown Township, Redwood County, Minnesota. He retired from farming there and moved to the Northome area in recent years. It was on October 20, 1921, that he took as his wife, Helga Andersen. The Parkers have one son, Vernon, now of Blackduck, Minnesota.

Frederick was a charter member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Lamberton, Minnesota. He helped in the establishment of the church there and served as local elder and as church treasurer. Survivors include his wife, Helga, of Northome; his son, Vernon, of Blackduck; one sister, Mrs. Mary Henslin of Saint Paul; and four grandchildren. Interment was made in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Northome, following the funeral service at the Northome Seventh-day Adventist church on January 7, 1970. The service was conducted by the writer and by D. E. Klam.
