Services for Adolph (Bill) Wilhelm Carlson, 85, were held Saturday, July 21, from the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Bedford, the Rev. Duane Luer officiating. Burial was scheduled at the Prairie Rose Cemetery in Brooks after a private family ceremony. Mr. Carlson was born September 8, 1904, in Barsness Township, Starbuck, Minnesota. He died July 16, 1990 at Mercy Hospital in Corning. His early life was spent in Minnesota near Starbuck, Glenwood, Maple Plain, and Rockford. He married Margaret Kaldahl at Alexandria, Minnesota, on July 5, 1929. Farming and silo construction were his life vocation. After retiring in 1982, he remained active in gardening, horseshoes, and dominoes were his favorite past time activities. Mr. Carlson and his wife, Margaret, lived in rural Taylor County, Iowa since 1985. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Donald D., two grandsons; six sisters; and two brothers. Survivors include his wife, four daughters, Phyllis A. Wagner and husband Dale of Shelton, Washington; Elaine L. Cramer and Emilie J. Jensen of Mission Viejo, California, Donna Argotti and husband Leonard of Corning; a son Richard M. Carlson and wife Bonnie of College Place, Washington; two brothers, John A. Carlson and wife Alma and Oscar F. Carlson of Starbuck, Minnesota; a sister Irene Nelson of Kerkhoven, Minnesota; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
